Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate Coming To Consoles

Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate

Expect an HD port of the handheld vampire slinging this Halloween.

Among the many titles in my backlog is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. I’m not that far into it (at least, I don’t think so… been awhile!), but I did enjoy what I played. I really should get on with it, so that I can play the follow-up, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate.

Now I was planning on getting it for the 3DS, but it seems that I can look forward to enjoying the game in HD if I so choose.

Both Konami and LoS producer Dave Cox confirmed that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD will be available for download on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 31 (Happy Halloween!). Cox also confirmed that there are no plans for a Wii U or PlayStation Vita port.

I do have to wonder, though… how much did the game take advantage of the 3D capabilities of the 3DS in the first place? I’m guessing not a heck of a lot if they’re okay with porting it over…

Ah well. More Castlevania in my life is good.

Have you guys played Mirror of Fate? If so, how good was it? You excited that you’ll be able to play it in HD? Let me know in the Comments Section!
