FANDEMONIUM! Longplay – Pocky & Rocky 2 (SNES)

FANDEMONIUM - Pocky and Rocky 2

Pocky & Rocky 2 will have you flinging things in delight!

Welcome to FANDEMONIUM!, where we like to fling things in the name of great justice!

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve done this! Let’s get things back to normal around here, yea?

I love Pocky & Rocky. It’s full of adorableness that makes me squee with delight. VSOG Buddy Bryan over at The Gay Gamer likes it too; he wrote a post about it, and other Super Famicom games he likes. Check out his blog post here!

Lots of people might be familiar with Pocky & Rocky… but maybe not the sequel 🙁

Released back in 1994 from Natsume, Pocky & Rocky 2 has the Dynamic Duo on a mission to rescue Princess Luna, who was kidnapped while visiting the village for the harvest festival. Besides being tougher, a big change in this instalment is that Pocky has different partners to work with (besides the ever-faithful Rocky). She can choose between three partners at the start of a new stage, as well as run across new partners during her journey. These partners will be controlled by the AI (or a second player if your real-life buddy’s with ya). During combat, Pocky can pick up and toss her partner to cause some major damage to the twerps on the screen, or use their special abilities to do nifty things, like unlock treasure chests and ride giant mechs. YEA!

Anyhoo, sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy this longplay courtesy of the folks at World of  Longplay. 🙂
